The Golden Retriever Capsule
He brings you the leash before you've found your shoes. A tee, a bandana and a cap for the dog who decides when it's time to go.

Retriever

He already knows it's time.

Every golden we've known is a little too smart.
He doesn't wait to be asked. He finds the leash, sits by the door, tail going, and looks at you until you get the hint — walk, or play. That's the dog in this drawing: leash already in his mouth, ADC floating over his head like the thought he's too polite to say out loud.
It started as one hand drawing and stayed that way. The same sketch sits on the chest of the tee in golden ochre, and is printed in cobalt across the bandana.

A golden with his leash already in his mouth sits on the chest; the name runs large across the back for whoever is walking behind you. Soft cream cotton, printed in warm golden ochre.
One for you, one for him.
The bandana ties on either of you — neck, collar or bag strap. The Retriever Runner cap brings along the place he loved to run most.
Why San Francisco.
Goldens are built to run. Of everywhere we've been with ours, Golden Gate Park was the best part — long lawns, eucalyptus, the fog rolling in off the ocean, and a dog who never once wanted to turn back. So the cap carries the city: Retriever Runner — Golden Gate, San Francisco. Faded golden yellow for his coat, washed navy for the bay at dusk.
